Hello Year 2,

Well done for your first full week back in school! You have all been AMAZING and worked super hard every day! I am so impressed with how well you have settled back into a routine and your work has been marvellous!

Here is your homework to be completed before next Friday 19th March 2021.

Maths

This week, we have been learning and practicing different skills for mental arithmetic sums, including addition, subtraction and times tables. Please could you open the document below to the 2018 Mental Arithmetic paper and answer the questions in your new green home book.

English

We are really focusing on our reading and comprehension skills in Year 2. In your green home book, there is the comprehension 'Our Solar System', please read and complete it. 

Then, please log onto getepic. I have assigned you a book called 'Turtles'. Please read the book and take the quiz at the end! 

Once you have completed your work, please take a picture of it and send it to my email Year2_Home@st-john.lancs.sch.uk or put it on the school blog. I am keeping a running record of homework completion in my registration book.   

*Please remember to read EVERY DAY!*  

Reading diary book change days are Mondays and Thursdays. Make sure you are ready for a new book on both on these days.
