Good morning Year 3!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's work. Please make sure that you are emailing or blogging each day so I can see that you're doing the work.

Today you have 4 tasks:

1. Maths

2. English

3. French

4. Listen to me reading Chapter 19 of The Creakers on the School Videos section of the website.

Have a wonderful day, work hard and keep smiling!

Maths:

LO: To draw pictograms.

Today we are going to look at pictograms. These are charts that use pictures to represent numbers. They always have a key for you to work out what each picture is worth. You may remember doing these in Year 2! Follow the link below to watch the video carefully, pausing it to work out the questions in your book. Then you need to complete the worksheet I have attached below.

Draw pictograms

English:

LO: To build persuasive vocabulary to use in an advert.

To start our lesson, you need to follow the link below and then watch the video. Today you are going to be building your vocabulary (this means words) to use in an advert.

If the teacher asks you to pause the video and do a task in your books, make sure you pause it. Listen carefully to the teacher and then send me a picture of your work on my email. I can’t wait to see some of the wonderful vocabulary that you come up with.

French

Hello Year 3. In our French lesson today we are going to bring together everything you have learned over the last 4 weeks. Your first task is to listen to the brown bear story - you can find this on youtube by clicking on the link below.

Once you have listened to the story, click on the link below to take you to the school video page, and find the video in French Homelearning section, with the date 02.02.2021. watch the video and join in when I ask you to repeat the phrases.

There is a worksheet below, you need to draw the animals into your book and then colour them the correct colour for the story, and write a sentence underneath each picture as you are shown in the video.

Once you have completed the worksheet, there are two links on the final slides of the powerpoint. Have a go at playing the games to test your knowledge of the brown bear story.

Have a lovely day.
