Friday 5th March

Good morning Year 6!

It's Friday everybody!! Well done for working hard this week and in all the previous weeks since January 6th. You have been amazing! This is our last day of online learning and we are so looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. Bring in your school laptops, chargers and your orange folder with all your books in. Don't forget your PE kit and your reading book also which will need changing. Bring in your bookmark and I will laminate that for you.

School will be just like in the Autumn Term with all the year groups keeping to their bubbles. Lunch will now be in the hall at 12.45 with Y5 and Y4. It's going to be great seeing all your friends again. We have all missed you lots!

Now, let's get switched on and see what our last online lessons are...

PE

Today's exercise choices:

1. Go outside for a refreshing walk.

2. Click on the link to Go Noodle and complete 3 of your favourite routines.

3. Click on the link to Joe Wicks to tackle his exercise routine today. (He's back today for fancy dress Friday).

4. Have a go at the Bingo Challenge Mr Steele has put on the main Class Page - this looks fun!

Below are your tasks for today. Remember if you need to ask any questions go to the class blog and add a comment to 5-3-21 TODAY'S WORK. Keep checking the comments on this BLOG because that is where we will post our replies to you.

ENGLISH

LO: To use research skills

For our last online English lesson, we are going to continue exploring books. Read the information and instructions on the slides below in order to complete your lesson successfully.

Enjoy!

PSHE

LO: To explore why water is important

In PSHE today, we are going to revisit the water cycle (Monday's Geography lesson) but we are going to focus on why water is so important and what we use it for. This lesson makes you think. It is at the Oak Academy and our teacher is called Mrs Walsh. She will ask you to complete some questions in your exercise book and there is a poster to design and draw at the end of the lesson. Blog or email your work as normal.

MATHS

L.O ARITHMETIC

YIPPEE! It’s Friday and it’s Arithmetic Day.

Today we are doing Test 2. There are 28 questions and 30 marks. You get 2 marks for the long multiplication and 2 marks for the long division.

Do your working out and answers in your Maths Book and then get someone to mark it for you or mark it yourself. BLOG me your score please.

Please don’t open the answers until you have done the work it won’t help you. Once you have marked your work go back and try to correct the ones you got wrong, just like we would in school.

Please send me a picture of your working out instead of typing the answers into the BLOG. I want to see your working out.

TASK B – EVERYBODY SHOULD DO THIS

I’ve  set up a battle on Times Table Rock Stars. Boys against Girls. When we get back to school, we will be doing our MEGA tables test so TTRS will help keep those skills sharp.
