I really enjoyed looking through all your work from last week, both on emails and on the blog. Keep it coming!! I love to see your work! You are working so hard, keep it up!

I am in school Wednesday and Friday this week, so you may see me if you're in those days.

Remember every day you must:

Have a wonderful day, here are today's tasks...

Maths:

LO: To identify right angles in shapes.

This week in Maths we are going to be looking at angles in shapes. Today we are starting by focusing on right angles. These are the angles that are inside a square. Follow the link below to access today’s video. Watch the video carefully, just like you would listen to me at the beginning of a lesson and then complete the worksheet I have attached below. You can either print it out or copy your answers into your workbooks. If it asks you to draw something… please make sure you use a RULER and a PENCIL!!!

English:

LO: To use your imagination to plan a log.

This week we are going to continue with some work around the story ‘Journey to the Jungle’ that we listened to last week.

Listen to the story again by following the link below.

Then I would like you to look at the first worksheet that asks you to draw what you would see through a telescope. What would the new jungle be like? What weird and wonderful things would be in this new place? Draw what you would see! Don’t forget to give it a name too!

After that, look at the second sheet I have attached, following the pattern on the examples, write your ideas as to what you would see/do in your jungle. This is your plan for your writing later in the week.

RE:

LO: To explore the parable of the Prodigal son.
Today we are going to look at a parable from the Bible. I want you to start today’s lesson by reading God’s story 3 – page 102 which I have attached below. This is the parable of the Prodigal son. You also need to read the extract from the Bible (Luke 15) which I have attached below. Then you can watch the video below of the parable on youtube.

Once you have read those and watched the video, have a look at the picture I have attached below. This is a painting based on the parable. I would like you to imagine that you are looking at that painting in an art gallery and you are explaining to someone what that picture is showing. You need to write all about the story and explain what is happening in the picture in as much detail as possible. I want you to also explain what meaning that picture might have in your life. Make sure you send me your work on email on via the blog!
