Hello Year 5. What a lovely, sunny Friday! The weather looks nice at the weekend too so I hope you can all enjoy some time in your garden.

It was so lovely to see some of you zoom in for Prize Day yesterday. It’s the same today but today’s assembly is Pupil of the Year. I wonder who it will be?

English
Today is the final lesson of your lessons on Demon Dentist. Click on the link below which will take you to your lesson.

Maths
Today’s lesson is similar to the countdown game we play in class. You have been given a target number and you need to use the other numbers and + = x ÷ to make the number. There are 2 sheets however you may choose to just complete the first.

Music
For music there are two websites to look at today: to learn more about a piece of music that will sound very familiar to any football fans, and then a second website with a series of quizzes to test your knowledge of what you have learnt through the year.

There is information to read on this web page all about a piece of music called Zadok the Priest written by Handel. Read the information as far down as the lesson plans section. After you have read the information, there are two short videos to watch. One is an introduction to the piece of music and the second is a performance of the piece.
