Task 1: Literacy Story Based Activity
Re-read the Weekly Story all about Pirates and then collect what you will need to Make Your Very Own Treasure Chest!
You will need:
- An egg carton (Happy eggs cartons are already yellow)
- Gold or Yellow paint or felt tips / marker pens
- Sequins, foil, milk bottle tops, other bottle tops, stickers or other recycled resources to decorate
- Some treasure collected from around your house or garden
What to do:
- Take off the stickers and paint or colour in your egg box.
- Stick on the decorations to make your treasure chest look special
- Draw a lock and keyhole on the front
Use your Treasure Chest as a prop in some pretend Pirate Play or take it on a walk and collect treasure as you go! Have Fun Me Hearties!

Copy these numbers into your book (or print the sheet if you can). It is important to move your pencil in the right direction and get into good letter and number writing habits.
