Maths:

LO: To solve mental calculations with money.
 

Today I would like you to find the stapled worksheets in your Home Learning pack titled ‘Mental Calculations with Money’.

Work your way through both sheets answering the questions on money. You can show your workings on the sheet but try to do some of the sums in your head.

English:

LO: To use the text to answer questions.

Yesterday we looked at synonyms, words that have the same meaning. The first thing I would like you to do today is look at the sheet below titled ‘Synonyms extension’ You need to decide which is the correct definition of the words. They are words that we looked at yesterday, so what can you remember? Then you need to write 5 sentences using the new words we looked at yesterday. You can look back in your workbook to remind yourself.

After you have done this, I would like you to listen to the story again (the link is below) and then answer the questions on the word document below. Make sure you answer in FULL SENTENCES!

French:

Have you guessed the story yet year 3? That's right, we are going to be reading the story of The Hungry Caterpillar next week. Today, you have some new vocabulary to study in preparation for the story next week. On each slide there is a picture of a piece of food - listen to the audio on the slide, and practise saying each of the words in French. On the final slide, all the pictures have been put together, Your task is to draw each of the food items and label them in French.
