Mountains
During our work on the Mountains topic, Year 6 children adopted a mountain and with a partner created a fabulous powerpoint including images, sound, transitions and hyperlinks which they confidently presented to the class.
As well as learning all about different types and key features of mountains, children plotted a route using 'Digimaps' for Mrs Jones to take as she walked up Pen y ghent. Children also 'risk assessed' the walk and made sure their teacher had all the right equipment for this expedition! As you can see, this was very important because the weather in January was none too good.
