PLANTS

This half term we are very excited to be studying plants and the functions of each part of a plant. We started off by looking at the root and wrote some brilliant explanations as to what roots do and how they grow. We have also planted some broad beans to help us understand this process. Each day, we are going to see how many roots our seeds have grown. How exciting!

What is the job of the stem?

Today, we planned and carried out an investigation to see how water is transported through plants. How exciting! We are also enjoying coming into school each day to see if our seeds have grown any roots. Tilly's and Kiah's seed so far has grown the biggest root. Some of us are still waiting!
